work following study abroad, it is crucial to\u00a0determine the visa regulations of your host country at the outset since a student visa might not permit you to work.<\/p>\n<p>There are many organizations offering work, internship and volunteer opportunities abroad.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.transitionsabroad.com\/\">Transitions Abroad<\/a><\/strong>, an on-line and paper publication, is a good clearinghouse for work, teaching, and volunteer opportunities abroad.<\/li>\n<li>The<strong> <a href=\"http:\/\/internationalcenter.umich.edu\/swt\/work\/\">University of Michigan International Center<\/a>, the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.globaled.us\/rfsa\/programsabroad.html#Service%20Learning%20and%20Volunteering%20Abroad\">Center for Global Education<\/a><\/strong>, and <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.cie.uci.edu\/prospective\/iopother\/index.shtml\">UC Irvine<\/a><\/strong> provide good advice on working, teaching, and volunteering abroad as well as listings of opportunities.<\/li>\n<li><strong><a href=\"http:\/\/culturalvistas.org\/programs-for-students-and-professionals\">Cultural Vistas<\/a><\/strong>\u00a0offers internships opportunities around the world.<\/li>\n<li><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.globalinternships.com\/internships\">Intrax<\/a>\u00a0<\/strong>offers both summer volunteer programs in the developing world and and summer business internships..<\/li>\n<li>Arcadia University&#8217;s\u00a0<strong><a href=\"http:\/\/studyabroad.arcadia.edu\/find-a-program\/internships\/\">Center for Global Studies<\/a><\/strong> offers legislative internship opportunities (not for Bates credit) in Australia, England, Ireland, Scotland and Wales.<\/li>\n<li><strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.ciee.org\/teach\/\">CIEE<\/a><\/strong> offers teaching opportunities for recent graduates in \u00a0a number of countries, including Chile, China, the Dominican Republic, South Korea, Spain, and Thailand.<\/li>\n<li><strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.culturalembrace.com\/\">API<\/a><\/strong> offers a wide variety of work and volunteer opportunities around the world.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>For region and country specific
