{"id":8283,"date":"2017-08-04T11:45:39","date_gmt":"2017-08-04T15:45:39","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.bates.edu\/global-education\/?page_id=8283"},"modified":"2026-04-07T15:06:30","modified_gmt":"2026-04-07T19:06:30","slug":"international-student-orientation","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www.bates.edu\/global-education\/international-student-orientation\/","title":{"rendered":"International Circle Orientation"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>All incoming Bates students receive an extensive <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bates.edu\/orientation\/\">orientation<\/a> upon arrival that will introduce you to campus and community, academics and life-at-Bates, and important information about higher education and the liberal arts that will help guide your time at Bates and beyond.<\/p>\n<p>In addition, international students receive an orientation specific to transitioning to life in the U.S., and at Bates.\u00a0 You will be contacted directly with information about the structure and attending International Circle Orientation.<\/p>\n<div class=\"gmail_default\"><strong><strong>International Circle Orientation will run from Monday, August 24th through Wednesday, August 26 for Fall 2026.<\/strong><\/strong><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"gmail_default\">Specific arrival information will be coming soon.<\/p>\n<p>Assistance from Portland, Maine Jetport or from the Portland or Lewiston bus stations will be available.
