Short Term Action Research Team (STA/RT)

The 2018 Short Term Action/Research Team

STA/RT (SHORT TERM ACTION/RESEARCH TEAM) FELLOWSHIPS engage a team of 6-10 students in intensive community-engaged work during the College’s five-week spring Short Term. STA/RT Fellows are chosen from a competitive applicant pool to work both independently and as a group to undertake time-sensitive projects identified as priorities by community partners. Bringing diverse research skills to bear on a range of projects, including data analysis, program evaluation, and program design, Fellows work 20 hours per week and earn a stipend of $400. Students who are selected to participate in the STA/RT program will be allowed to remain in on-campus housing and continue regular participation in the College’s meal plan during the short-term. In order to ensure students’ full commitment to their STA/RT work, participants will not be eligible to take a class concurrently with the program.
