Do you know someone who has excelled this past year in community-engaged academic work, community partnerships, activism, or community volunteerism and leadership? If so, please nominate them for recognition at the Harward Center for Community Partnership’s annual Awards Celebration to be held on May 11, 2026.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Nominations can be made using the form below and are due on Friday, April 10, 2025 at 5 pm. Self nominations are welcome.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Student Award for Outstanding Academic Community Engagement<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

This award recognizes outstanding community-engaged academic work. Such work can happen through a course,research, or other academic experience, but should involve faculty guidance, significant academic accomplishment, and meaningful community impact.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Award for Outstanding Co-Curricular Engagement and Student Leadership<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

This award recognizes outstanding co-curricular engagement and student leadership with particularly strong commitments to respectful partnerships and significant impact.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Student Activism Award<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

This award recognizes outstanding commitment to an important issue or cause through activism and advocacy. The award recognizes grassroots activism that engages members of the Bates and\/or wider community in collective social change work.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cRookie of the Year Award” for Outstanding Community Engagement by a First Year Student<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

This award recognizes particularly strong commitments to respectful partnerships and significant impact to community-engaged academic work, community volunteerism, activism, or leadership during the first year at Bates.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Faculty Award for Outstanding Community-Engaged Work<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

This award recognizes extraordinary commitment to community-engaged teaching, public scholarship, and\/or collaborative work for the public good.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Staff Award for Community Volunteerism, Leadership, or Engagement<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

This award recognizes outstanding commitment to community volunteerism and leadership.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Outstanding Community Partnership Award<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

This award recognizes outstanding community partnership with Bates students, staff, and\/or faculty by a community organization or its representative(s). Outstanding community partners are co-educators of our students, collaborators with our faculty and staff, and make a positive impact on the broader community. This award may uplift newer partnerships with exciting potential or honor sustained commitments. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Outstanding Community Project Award<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

This award recognizes a group of stakeholders who implement a community project with outstanding positive impact. Stakeholders include, at minimum, one community partner representative and one Bates representative, but may include many. Projects demonstrate community voice, collaboration, and sustainable impact.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
