How do I connect to Etna from a Microsoft Windows Computer?

Etna provides individuals with network file storage. The focal use of Etna is for scholarship and classes. 

Windows 7:

  • Click on the Windows Start button
  • In the Windows Start menu, click in the Search programs and files box
  • To connect to Etna, type in either of the following
    • \\netapp.bcis.bates.edu\etna
    • \\paris\etna

Windows 10:

  • Click on the Windows Start button
  • With the Start menu visible, begin typing the following
    • \\netapp.bcis.bates.edu\etna
    • \\paris\etna

Note: Access to Etna is available from on-campus. To access Etna from off-campus, you must connect using a VPN. If you are utilizing a Bates issued laptop, a VPN client can be installed on your computer, or you may also access Etna via a web VPN client by logging into https://myvpn.bates.edu/
