Join me to learn about a collaborative feature that is part of your Bates G Suite account. G Suite Hangouts is an instant messaging platform that allows you to have one-to-one and group text chats with other members of the Bates College Community or with individuals who also have a G Suite account. Maybe you have a colleague that is on the phone and you need to communicate some important information to them, but don’t want to interrupt them; or maybe you have a quick question you want to ask someone, but it may not warrant a phone call or email message – send them an instant message with G Suite Hangouts.
During this webinar, you will learn:
- How to Access and Use G Suite Hangouts
- About Some of the Additional Collaboration Features That are Available to You With G Suite Hangouts
- About the Settings, You Can Change and Customize
- Some Tips and Tricks
- We Will Also Discuss the Differences Between G Suite Hangouts and the Zoom Video Conferencing Platform
Prerequisites: Participants should also be comfortable with utilizing a computer with Microsoft®Windows 7 and comfortable with using and navigating websites with a web browser. Knowledge of Bates Gmail and Google Calendar is a plus. Your Bates username and password are required. You will be connecting to a Zoom Webinar. Participants will need a computer (Windows/Mac) to view the webinar, and computer speakers/headphones or a telephone to listen to the audio portion of the webinar.
