You may call the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.lewistonmaine.gov\/141\/Welcome\">Lewiston Police Department<\/a> ay 207-784-6421 or  go directly to the police station located at 171 Park Street, Lewiston.  You may also contact any of the following for assistance with filing a criminal complaint:  the <a href=\"mailto:glexow@bates.edu\">Title IX Coordinator, Gwen Lexow<\/a>; <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bates.edu\/security\/\">Bates Campus Safety<\/a>; the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.bates.edu\/here-to-help\/cra\">Confidential Resource Advisor (CRA)<\/a>; <a href=\"http:\/\/www.sapars.org\">Sexual Assault Prevention and Response Services (SAPARS)<\/a>. Individuals are NOT required to file a criminal complaint.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Civil Protection Orders<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>Maine law enables victims of domestic or dating violence, sexual assault, stalking, and other forms of harassment to obtain both short-term emergency protection and, after a hearing, long-term protection from their harasser.  Individuals can petition the court for either a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.courts.maine.gov\/help\/abuse\/index.html\">Protection from Abuse or Protection from Harassment Order<\/a>.
