Dismemberment Insurance"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<div style=\"height:50px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>Our Life, Accidental Death &amp; Dismemberment and Long-term Disability Insurance carrier will remain the Hartford in 2026.\u00a0 <strong>Remaining the same in 2026, your Basic Life and Accidental Death &amp; Dismemberment (AD&amp;D) coverage will be the greater of $50,000 or 1x your salary rounded to the next higher $1,000. <\/strong>All current supplemental coverage and beneficiary designations remain the same.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Employer-paid life insurance in excess of $50,000 is subject to tax under IRS guidelines.&nbsp; See the <a rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" href=\"https:\/\/www.bates.edu\/hr\/files\/2011\/10\/hr-imputed-income-explanation.pdf\" target=\"_blank\">Imputed Income Explanation<\/a> for details.&nbsp; Any additional taxable income will be calculated automatically beginning in January.&nbsp; Note, if your Basic Life Insurance is less than $50,000 there is no taxable income.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>There have been no changes in rates for the Employee Voluntary Life and spouse \/partner age brackets as listed below.&nbsp;
