Webinar Wednesday – Creating and Sharing Calendars in Google Calendar
Wednesday, March 26, 2014 – 10:15am to 10:45am – Virtual Webinar/Online
During this webinar attendees will learn how to create additional calendars from within their Google Calendar account. Attendees will also learn about the four levels of access/sharing that can be provided to other Google Calendar users at Bates and how to share their calendars.

Learn how to create and maintain forms for your WordPress sites. In this workshop, you will learn how to create forms that can collect of wide variety of user-submitted data, manage email notifications triggered by entries, and examine the data from form entries both individually and en masse.

Special Topics in Banner – Banner Overview and Navigation
Tuesday, April 15, 2014 – 2:00pm to 3:00pm – Ladd Library, RM 148
Wednesday, April 16, 2014 – 10:00am to 11:00am – Ladd Library, RM 148
In this seminar the question “What is Banner?” will be answered. You will learn about the Ellucian Banner Administrative System, how Banner interacts with other systems, how to access Banner, the components that make up the Banner Suite, Banner Forms, and how to navigate Banner through its menu’s, keyboard shortcuts, and Direct Access/Go To dialogue box. The basics of searching will also be covered.

Webinar Wednesday – Creating a Basic Email Mail Merge with Bates Gmail, Google Scripts, and Google Sheets
Wednesday, April 23, 2014 – 10:15am to 10:45am – Virtual Webinar/Online
By using Google Sheets (spreadsheet) along with an add-on feature, you will learn how to use Bates Gmail to create personalized email messages (email mail merge). During this webinar you will learn about the script gallery, how to find scripts, and installing scripts. You will then be guided through the process of setting up your email mail merge, including the setup of your source data (Google Sheet) and how to create a Bates Gmail email message for merging.

During this open session, come and bring your questions about the Google Apps for Education Suite (Drive, Document, Spreadsheet, Presentation, Form, Bates Gmail and Google Calendar). Have you wanted to learn how to share documents or maybe how to upload files and access them from another location. Maybe you want to know how to setup a vacation message in Bates Gmail or how to setup Events in Google Calendar a bit more efficiently. This is an opportunity for you to bring your questions and/or share your tips with an expert and your colleagues about the Google Applications utilized at Bates College.

During this hands-on workshop you will learn how to add pictures, screenshots, clip art, shapes, and text boxes into your document. Participants will also learn how to format and change some of the pictures and shapes you add to your document. Adding images and graphics to your document can add a dynamic look and feel to your content.
