Ladd Library provides access to e-books from a number of publishers, and one of the biggest collections is called SpringerLink. Thousands of books on the social sciences, downloadable as PDFs.

We own the print, published in 2003, but the online version will be continually updated with new relevant information.

15 college and university libraries, including Bates, are collaborating with Princeton, Harvard, and Columbia University Presses to provide access to current electronic book content.
