Alumni and retirees can contact the Circulation Desk, 207-786-6263 for access.<\/p>\n<p>Items on open shelves are available for anyone to use in the library.<\/p>\n<p>Materials may not be taken from the library without being checked out. All patrons must present the appropriate I.D. card for all library borrowing.<\/p>\n<p>Borrowing privileges are granted to the following:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.bates.edu\/library\/access\/students\"><b>Bates Students<\/b><\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.bates.edu\/library\/access\/facstaff\"><b>Bates Faculty and Staff, Emeriti and Retirees<\/b><\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.bates.edu\/library\/access\/alumni\"><b>Bates Alumni<\/b><\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.bates.edu\/library\/access\/affiliates\"><b>Bates Affiliates<\/b><\/a><br \/>\n(spouses, domestic partners, children up to age 21 of faculty and staff)<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.cbbnet.org\/loanpolicies\/\"><b>Colby and Bowdoin<\/b><\/a><br \/>\ncollege faculty, staff, and students<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.bates.edu\/library\/mrbp\"><b>Maine Reciprocal Borrowing Program<\/b><\/a><br \/>\nallows patrons from participating libraries to visit other libraries in the program and check out books in person.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.bates.edu\/library\/access\/govtdocs\"><b>Government Documents Borrowers<\/b><\/a><br \/>\nAll citizens of the Second Congressional District may borrow\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/libguides.bates.edu\/c.php?g=319886\">Government Documents<\/a>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The Librarian reserves the right to limit the number of items borrowed by a user at any one time.<\/p>\n<p>As a security measure, the library staff reserves the right to inspect backpacks, bags, etc. if the exit alarm sounds.<\/p>\n<p>Questions about borrowing policies should be directed to Brenda Reynolds, Head of Access Services: 207-786-6265, breynold@bates.edu.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Ladd Library is open to the Bates community via card access.
