Each article is an expert&#8217;s tour to both long-standing and emerging fields of study.&nbsp; Where else can you find in-depth, authoritative introductions to <a href=\"http:\/\/go.bates.edu\/director\/wend\/?url=http:\/\/www.sciencedirect.com\/science\/article\/pii\/B9780080970868250393\" target=\"_blank\">Psychology of Subjective Wellbeing<\/a>, <a href=\"http:\/\/go.bates.edu\/director\/wend\/?url=http:\/\/www.sciencedirect.com\/science\/article\/pii\/B9780080970868122044\" target=\"_blank\">Internet and Social Media: Anthropological Aspects<\/a>, or <a href=\"http:\/\/go.bates.edu\/director\/wend\/?url=http:\/\/www.sciencedirect.com\/science\/article\/pii\/B9780080970868102168\" target=\"_blank\">Gays, Lesbians, and Sports<\/a>?&nbsp; It&#8217;s also a great place to get background information on social science methods and notable scholars.<\/p>\n<p>This edition is an update to the 2001 edition, called &#8220;one of the great wonders of the scientific world&#8221; in <em>Contemporary Psychology<\/em>.
