Author of <em>The Landmark Method for Teaching Writing<\/em> offering &#8220;methods to help liberate kids, concrete methods for teachers to follow,&#8221; she works in the school and as part of the school&#8217;s aggressive outreach program to help learning-disabled students. &#8220;The rewards are so great,&#8221; she says. &#8220;I could get a student in the ninth grade who can&#8217;t write a sentence.
