Tap out a note to <a href=\"mailto:magazine@bates.edu\">magazine@bates.edu<\/a>! <\/em><strong>Lynne Anderson<\/strong> is an adjunct professor at Bunker Hill Community College, teaching ESL classes&#8230;. <strong>Jamie Ervin<\/strong> and her husband Alan Pierce, a Bowdoin graduate, live in rural Vermont with their 4-year-old son, Lincoln. &#8220;We operate a small consulting business, working for conservation groups like the World Wildlife Fund and Rainforest Alliance.&#8221; She&#8217;s been working toward her Ph.D. in natural resources at UVM, focusing on community-based watershed protection. &#8220;I&#8217;m also active in local conservation and planning initiatives.&#8221;&#8230; <strong>Kari Heistad<\/strong> finds that cross-cultural issues and travel occupy more of her life these days.
