The ship&#8217;s battle group includes ten tactical air squadrons, seven surface combatants, and two submarines&#8230;.\u00a0<strong>Susan Stucke Funk<\/strong> is the project manager for the Exploring Amistad Web Site (amistad.mysticseaport.org) at Mystic (Conn.) Seaport Museum, a wide-ranging Web site with volumes of information on the Amistad event. &#8220;The site is based on a significant digital library of primary sources,&#8221; said Funk. &#8220;This was in the planning stages before the Spielberg movie, but we are fortunate to have the movie bring such national attention to the project.&#8221; The site, with its more than 500 primary documents online, is particularly helpful in sorting out the facts of the incident versus the theatrical interpretation. &#8220;The debate generated by the tension between movie making and history has been fascinating,&#8221; she said.
