Husband George does consulting around the country&#8230;.In Hong Kong,\u00a0<strong>Dwight Harvie <\/strong>has been appointed director and general manager of Tanner Menzies, Ltd., a regional executive research firm. On a June trip with his daughter, Ayoko, he visited Bates and met in Boston with<strong>Harry Meline<\/strong>, and in Boothbay with daughter\u00a0<strong>Lisa<\/strong> &#8217;83 and family, and had lunch with\u00a0<strong>Jonas Klein<\/strong>&#8230;.Another recent retiree,\u00a0<strong>Helen Hendrickson Woodward<\/strong> has had time to travel to Europe in the past two years. She and husband Charles are volunteers one day a week at Waterbury Hospital, and &#8220;Chris&#8221; serves on a number of boards&#8230;.<strong>Bill Hobbs<\/strong> returned to the Island of Iona, a very inviting place of quiet and solitude in Scotland, for the third time, on a mini-pilgrimage&#8230;.The<strong>Laird<\/strong>s now set the priorities for their retirement years.<strong>Carolann<\/strong> (<strong>McKesson<\/strong>) does aerobics and quilting, while\u00a0<strong>Bill<\/strong>does weight training and is restoring a 1931 Model A Ford. Gardening, visiting children, Elderhostel, and church work fill their days&#8230;.<strong>Dick Liebe <\/strong>continues his summer field programs at Wesleyan University, where he has worked with earth science teachers for twenty-five years. He has reduced his work load to teaching only in the fall for a couple of years. He and\u00a0<strong>Jan <\/strong>(<strong>Truesdail `56<\/strong>) have bought a retirement home on Lake Keuka&#8230;.<strong>Harry Meline<\/strong>&#8216;s harmonies headquarters is no more. Since it closed, he plans to travel, and the Boarding Cat Farm still &#8220;putts&#8221; along. (Shouldn&#8217;t that be &#8220;purrs&#8221;?!)&#8230;Our sincere condolences to\u00a0<strong>Gordon Peaco<\/strong> on the April death of<strong>June<\/strong> (<strong>Johnson<\/strong>). We enjoyed having them at Reunion, and June will be very much missed&#8230;.<strong>Walt Reuling<\/strong> is provost and dean of Lindsey Wilson College in Columbia, Kentucky, where &#8220;the folks are friendly and the waitresses call you `Honey.'&#8221; He and\u00a0<strong>Margie <\/strong>(<strong>Terani `57<\/strong>) plan to retire to Vermont in a couple of years &#8220;where it is cold and expensive and cluttered up now with `flatlanders&#8217; like us.&#8221;&#8230;<em>Math Wizardry for Kids<\/em>, co-authored by\u00a0<strong>Phyllis Sawyer Williams<\/strong>and Margaret Kenda, is in its second printing. Phyl supervises some master&#8217;s degree students at the University of Maine and has a small counseling practice&#8230;.Although he still practices law in Ann Arbor, Michigan,\u00a0<strong>John Toomey<\/strong> manages to return to Maine almost every year&#8230;.Looking forward to a full year sabbatical,\u00a0<strong>Dick Weber<\/strong> still enjoys teaching.
