Marsha Donahue was born in Waterville, Maine in 1950 and grew up in interior Maine.  With degrees from both American University in Washington, DC and the Maine College of Art in Portland, Maine, Marsha has been an exhibiting artist along with working in galleries in Washington, DC, and Portland, Maine.  For over fifteen years she has owned North Light Gallery in Millinocket, Maine, representing artists of the northern Maine interior and teaching watercolor and oil painting.  Though initiating her career as an oil painter, following a studio fire in the 90’s, she turned to full time watercolor, eventually having four solo shows at Greenhut Galleries as a watercolorist.  Though having had the benefit of a salon education for eight years in college, she is entirely self-taught as a watercolorist.  Within the last few years, she has returned to oil painting and is now attempting to integrate both mediums into the painting process.  Besides her own gallery, Marsha’s work is also on view at the Littlefield Gallery in Winter Harbor.  Marsha lives with her husband, Wayne, a master plumber, and their dachshund, Dudley, in Millinocket.

Reception to follow.
