To schedule a talk call Anne Odom at 786-8212.<\/p>\n<p>In conjunction with the exhibition<em><br \/>\n<a href=\"https:\/\/www.bates.edu\/museum\/exhibitions\/current\/james-ensor-scenes-de-la-vie-du-christ-and-other-works\/\">James Ensor<\/a><\/em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.bates.edu\/museum\/exhibitions\/current\/james-ensor-scenes-de-la-vie-du-christ-and-other-works\/\"><em><br \/>\nSc\u00e8nes de la vie du Christ and other works<\/em><\/a><span style=\"font-family: 'Helvetica W01 Italic', Helvetica, Arial, sans-serif\"><em><br \/>\n<\/em><\/span><em><\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>Sc\u00e8nes de la vie du Christ<\/em>, 1921, is a portfolio of thirty-two lithographs by James Ensor\u2019s (Belgian, 1860-1949). Perhaps his most all-encompassing graphic project, it contrasts beauty with monsterly figures, and delicate rendering with bold and bizarre passages.
