His work integrates science with photography, combining modern and historic processes with sculpture. His large-scale photographs at Bates plays with self-portraiture, movement, rugged landscapes, and reflections.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Gould\u2019s work is exhibited around the country, including University of Notre Dame; Walters Museum of Art, Baltimore; PhoPa Gallery, Portland, ME; and The Julia Dean Gallery, Los Angeles. He has taught at the Maine Media Workshops and the Maryland Institute College of Art. Gould was also the inaugural Artist in Residence at the Hopkins Extreme Materials Institute at Johns Hopkins University and an Artist in Residence at the Penland School of Craft.
