He remains best known for the 1970s BBC television series <em>The Six Wives of Henry VIII<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Michell attended Adelaide School of Arts and Crafts and Adelaide University before moving to England to join the Young Vic Company. By the 1950s, he was on the West End with many successes where he starred in Shakespeare plays, as well as the Royal Court where he appeared in <em>Don Juan <\/em>and <em>The Death of Satan <\/em>in 1956.
