The Bates Gamelan Ensemble (Performing Musical Arts of Indonesia S25) collaborates with a Javanese dalang (puppeteer) to bring a Javanese wayang kulit (shadow theatre) to Lewiston! The Lakon (main story) will be based on one of the episodes from Mahabarata, one of the Hindu epics from India, about a dispute over the reign of the Astina Kingdom between the Pandawa family and Kurawa family. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
