Bates celebrates Parents and Families Weekend September 26-28

Bates College will celebrate “Parents and Families Weekend” Sept. 26 – Sept. 28 with many on-campus events for students and their parents, alumni and Bates employees. The following events are open to the public:

FRIDAY, SEPT. 26

  • Art Exhibit: Alex Grey’s Numinous Flesh, 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. in the Olin Museum of Art. Free.
  • Theater at Bates will stage the world premiere of Carolyn Gage’s The Ugly Ducklings at 6 p.m. in Gannett Theater. The drama is about the destructive effects of homophobia on girls and young women. Tickets are $2 for general admission and may be purchased at the box office.   • The Bates College Modern Dance Company in Concert at 8 p.m. in Schaeffer Theatre. Free

SATURDAY, SEPT. 27
