Awardwinning photographer to lecture

Awardwinning nature photographer John Sexton will discuss his photographic technique and give a slide presentation from his work April 25, 9 a.m.-4:30 p.m., in the Olin Arts Center Concert Hall. A reception for Sexton will be held at the Creative Photographic Art Center of Maine, 59 Canal St., Lewiston, on April 24 from 6 to 9 p.m. Advance registration for Saturday’s presentation is $20 and $25 at the door. Advance registration for students is $10 and $12.50 at the door. Sexton, whose large-format black and white images comprise two books Quiet Light and Listen to the Trees will illustrate and discuss refinements in his print-making process. He also will share experiences and anecdotes from his six years of work with Ansel Adams as a photographic and technical assistant.
