College to provide audio streaming for home football games

Bates College has partnered with Teamline to make live play-by-play of 2007 season home football games available to listeners from anywhere.

Al Harvie ’65 will be making the call from Garcelon Field for each game, starting with this Saturday’s season opener against Amherst College (kickoff is at 1 p.m.). The rest of the home schedule includes Tufts on Sept. 29 (1 p.m.), Middlebury on Oct. 20 (1 p.m.) and Bowdoin on Nov. 3 (12:30 p.m.).

There are two simple ways to listen in on the play-by-play:

  1. Free via the Internet. Simply follow this link or click on the Teamline logo on the Bates website.
  2. Via any telephone for $5 per game. To access the game via any phone just dial (216) 502-3200. Enter team code 0424 when prompted. Long distance charges may apply, depending on your particular long distance plan or provider.
