The Emergency Economic Stabilization Act of 2008 extends the rollover provisions originally enacted by the Pension Protection Act of 2006. The legislation offers charitably minded individuals a golden opportunity to make gifts directly from their IRAs and to exclude the amount of their gifts from gross income.
