Bates holds night of aid for victims of Pakistan flooding

A gathering to collect warm clothing and money for the victims of catastrophic summer flooding in Pakistan takes place at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 15, in the Bates College Chapel, on College Street near the intersection with Campus Avenue.

Shamshad Sheikh, Muslim chaplain at Mount Holyoke College, will discuss her experiences in a Bates College lecture titled From Pakistan to Afghanistan via the United States: A Muslim Peace Pilgrim's Journey, at 4:30 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 29, in Skelton Lounge, Chase Hall, 56 Campus Avenue.
