Kant claims that we have a duty to throw the &#8220;veil of philanthropy&#8221; over the moral failings and shortcomings of others. Stohr will consider that proposition in light of evils like racism and sexism, and will argue that the veil of philanthropy is essential to our efforts to improve ourselves and the ethical community as a whole.
