Now, producers can continue to label eggs as \u201corganic\u201d if hens merely have access to sunlight, such as in a porch-like enclosure.<\/p>\n<p>The much-looser definition \u201cis just so misaligned with what consumers expect of organic,\u201d Laflamme said. \u201cIt\u2019s going to damage the organic seal and not just in the egg category. I\u2019m talking about all types of organic products. (Rene Roy for Bates College)<\/p><\/div>\n<h5><\/h5>\n<hr \/>\n<h3><a href=\"https:\/\/www.pressherald.com\/2018\/03\/18\/art-review-work-by-world-class-couple-evokes-a-physical-response\/\">Robert Feintuch and Rona Pondick<\/a><\/h3>\n<h5>Work by world-class couple evokes a physical response <i>\u2014 Maine Sunday Telegram<br \/>\n<\/i><\/h5>\n<p>A recently concluded exhibition at the Bates Museum of Art featuring painter Robert Feintuch, a senior lecturer in arts and visual culture, and sculptor Rona Pondick was \u201cprofound, engaging, disturbing and exciting,\u201d <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pressherald.com\/2018\/03\/18\/art-review-work-by-world-class-couple-evokes-a-physical-response\/\">writes Daniel Kany in the <em>Maine Sunday Telegram<\/em>.<\/a> It was also likely \u201cthe best show in Maine this year.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>A married couple, Pondick and Feintuch are both internationally known, says Kany. Noting that Feintuch\u2019s \u201ctouch with acrylic emulsions rivals that of the best watercolorists,\u201d he calls one painting a \u201cmasterwork of feigned simplicity.\u201d Pondick is a \u201cworldwide art star,\u201d Kany says, and her sculpture, \u201cwhich combines human and animal elements, is striking, uncomfortably odd, and powerful.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The artists\u2019 work \u201cdigs deep in art history\u2026but since the work elicits a physical response in the viewer, it\u2019s accessible to anyone. Though worms are, well, worms, &#8220;we&#8217;re very similar to worms on a cellular level,&#8221; she said \u2014 a large number of neurons means a large number of behavioral responses. We think there is an incredible talent pool that we can tap into.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>What does Yelp look for in that talent pool?
