Hogue, who earned his pilot\u2019s license in high school, is now an instructor in the program<\/p>\n<p>Tammera Holmes, founder of AeroStar, said she was inspired to go into aviation when she rode in a plane with a chapter of the Tuskegee Airmen, an organization that honors the black military pilots who fought in World War II. Hogue is helping her \u201cpass the torch\u201d to the next generation of black pilots, she told NBC.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHim being able to give back in the way that I gave back, in the way that the Tuskegee Airmen gave back to me, speaks directly to continuing the legacy,\u201d Holmes told the network.<\/p>\n<h3><a href=\"https:\/\/whdh.com\/sports\/ivy-league-schools-tackling-concerns-over-concussions-with-rules-changes\/\">Carolyn Campbell-McGovern \u201983 and Jonathan Hall \u201983<\/a><\/h3>\n<h5>Ivy League schools tackling concerns over concussions with rules changes \u2014 WHDH-TV<\/h5>\n<p>Jonathan Hall \u201983, a longtime reporter at Boston-based television station WHDH, <a href=\"https:\/\/whdh.com\/sports\/ivy-league-schools-tackling-concerns-over-concussions-with-rules-changes\/\">reported on a newly released study<\/a>, coauthored by classmate Carolyn Campbell-McGovern, that found that new Ivy League football rules have significantly reduced concussions.<\/p>\n<p>In 2016, Ivy League schools began to move the kickoff line five yards up and eliminate tackling during practices. The changes were informed by years of research conducted by a research collaboration among Big Ten and Ivy League schools. A first-generation-to-college student, she had little idea how to apply for college. She decided to attend Bates for the \u201cpath of adventure and growth.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Education, Pham said, was her \u201cpassport to the world,\u201d allowing her to give back.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI\u2019m able to give money to classrooms and causes in need,\u201d she said. \u201cI\u2019m able to care not only for myself, but for others. The company\u2019s flagship brand of eggs is now in 53 percent of the country\u2019s grocery stores.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe found farmers who were just interested in being farms and not marketers or processors or distributors of eggs,\u201d LaFlamme said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt ended up being an incredibly mutually beneficial relationships with family farms.\u201d<\/p>\n<h3><a href=\"http:\/\/www.nashuatelegraph.com\/sunday-magazine\/2018\/02\/11\/all-in-for-tim-pioneering-parents-brought-autism-awareness-education-to-nh\/\">Louise Kennedy Hackett \u201965 and Dave Hackett \u201964<\/a><\/h3>\n<h5><strong>All in for Tim: Pioneering parents brought autism awareness, education to NH \u2014 <i>The Telegraph <\/i><\/strong><\/h5>\n<p><i>The<\/i> <i>Telegraph <\/i>in Nashua, N.H. <a href=\"http:\/\/www.nashuatelegraph.com\/sunday-magazine\/2018\/02\/11\/all-in-for-tim-pioneering-parents-brought-autism-awareness-education-to-nh\/\">profiled Dave and Louise Hackett<\/a>, who \u201cpaved the way for autism awareness and education in New Hampshire,\u201d wrote reporter Adam Urquhart.<\/p>\n<p>There were few services available when the Hacketts\u2019 son Tim, who has autism, was born in 1967. Tim\u2019s parents quickly got to work on making sure some were created \u2014 they went to conferences, advocated for services in public schools, and formed a New England chapter of the National Autism Society.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhen we started our organization, we had to beat the bushes to find six people in the state,\u201d Louise Hackett said. \u201cNow, we have like six people on our street. It\u2019s grown since the start.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The Hacketts recently received the Sandy Garrity Award from Gateway Community Services, a Nashua-based organization serving people with developmental disabilities.
