Her thesis adviser: Professor of Politics Stephen EngelFairman\u2019s thesis topic: \u201cTwo Detroits: Examining White Flight and Gentrification Through Critical Race Theory.\u201d Her thesis uses Critical Race Theory as a lens to analyze predatory housing contracts and practices against BIPOC Detroiters in the 20th century which has led to current gentrification in the city.
