{"id":141774,"date":"2021-09-16T12:32:38","date_gmt":"2021-09-16T16:32:38","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.bates.edu\/news\/?p=141774"},"modified":"2021-12-08T12:16:45","modified_gmt":"2021-12-08T17:16:45","slug":"video-behind-the-scenes-of-a-bates-sportrait-photo-shoot","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.bates.edu\/news\/2021\/09\/16\/video-behind-the-scenes-of-a-bates-sportrait-photo-shoot\/","title":{"rendered":"Video: Behind the scenes of a Bates &#8216;sportrait&#8217; photo session"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>The modern sportrait, a portmanteau of the words &#8220;sport portrait,&#8221; shares a bit of DNA with those posed shots you&#8217;d see on old trading cards. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>But let&#8217;s just say there&#8217;s been an evolution.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Today&#8217;s sportraits, highly popular at the high school and college levels, are stylized, creative, and way more athlete-centered than ever. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;Doing Bates sportraits is one of the highlights of the year for me.
