(Jay Burns\/Bates College)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<p>What&#8217;s particularly fun about producing each edition of Ladd Library Lost and Found is imagining how any particular item made its way to the lost and found cubby located just inside the front entrance to the library. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Take this rabies dog tag. If it were a Maine tag, we might imagine it belonged to a dog that frequents campus with a faculty or staff member. But it&#8217;s from the town of Andover, Mass. How did it travel 125 miles from Andover to Ladd Library?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Or is the tag a student&#8217;s memento of their beloved family dog? Was the dog a campus visitor during last fall&#8217;s Back to Bates?
