The hands-on and outdoor-focused unit provides training on a wide range of tools, including GPS, Real-Time Kinematics (RTK), and drones. These instruments have broad applications, says Arora. For instance, GPR, a geophysical tool used to scan the subsurface, is commonly employed to locate corroded or leaking pipelines, uncover hidden archaeological artifacts, unmarked graves, weapons, or identify geological features such as faults, which are critical to map before constructing dams or tunnels.
