The Bates College Museum of Art will exhibit the work of German-born photographer Elke Morris, a member of the arts faculty, in an upper-gallery exhibit, Photographs: German Sites<\/em>, from Jan. 10 through March 23.<\/p>\n

Morris will discuss her work in a lecture, followed by an opening reception, at 7 p.m. Jan. 10 in the museum, located in the Olin Arts Center. The public is invited to attend free of charge.<\/p>\n

From Jan. 10 through March 20, the lower gallery of the museum will exhibit Making Japanese Color Woodcuts<\/em>, featuring prints from the museum’s permanent collection donated by Weston and Mary Naef. The lower gallery will also display Contemporary Women Printmakers<\/em>, a show curated by Susannah C. Shaw ’96.<\/p>\n

The Bates College Museum of Art is open Tuesdays through Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sundays from 1 to 5 p.m. Admission is free.<\/p>\n
