The public is invited to attend free of charge. A former winner of the National Young Artists Competition of the American Guild of Organists, The New York Times called Young &#8220;a distinguished interpreter with a firm, commanding technique.&#8221; According to The American Organist, &#8220;Young&#8217;s playing was formidable, dazzling and mature.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>Young is chairman of the organ department at Indiana University, Bloomington, Indiana. A graduate of the Eastman School of Music, he earned his master&#8217;s degree while studying with David Craighead, and his D.M.A. and the prestigious Performer&#8217;s Certificate under Russell Saunders.
