It&#8217;s\u00a0the story of an\u00a0American film director, known for the\u00a0sensationalistic violence in his work, who is taken hostage by two serial killers on the very evening he wins an Oscar. The so-called Mall Murderers, Wayne and Scout, claim that director Bruce Delamitri inspired their brutal acts and should therefore be held responsible for them.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>Blending live action and dramatic video, Dana Professor of Theater Martin Andrucki\u00a0(shown below) directed the Bates theater department&#8217;s <a href=\"http:\/\/home.bates.edu\/views\/2006\/03\/08\/elton-popcorn\/\">March 2006 production<\/a> of Elton&#8217;s play.
