Drawing upon a forthcoming book on gothic fiction, Brown will focus particularly on the idea of childhood.<\/p>\n<p>Brown&#8217;s books include <em>The Shape of German Romanticism <\/em>(Cornell University Press, 1979), <em>Preromanticism<\/em> (Stanford University Press, 1991) and <em>Turning Points: Essays in the History of Cultural Expressions<\/em> (Stanford University Press, 1997).
