The public is invited to attend free of charge.<\/p>\n<p><!--more-->Joffee, professor of sociology at the University of California, Davis, will ask if recent advances in reproductive technologies like pregnancy prevention and the accessibility of RU-486, are reshaping the abortion struggle.<\/p>\n<p>Joffee&#8217;s recent work includes &#8220;Abortion and the Women&#8217;s Health Movement: Then and Now&#8221; in the Journal of the American Medical Women&#8217;s Association (Winter 1999), &#8220;Doctors of Conscience: The Struggle to Provide Abortion Before and After Roe v.
