Ensler based <\/span><\/em><em><span style=\"font-style: normal\">The Vagina Monologues<\/span><\/em><span style=\"font-style: normal\"> on interviews conducted with more than 200 women about their sexuality, their bodies and their stories of violence and sexual abuse.
