Little Jr. of New York City has been appointed to the board of overseers by trustees of Bates College, President Donald W. Harward has announced.<\/p>\n<p>Little, parent of Bates College senior Christopher Little, is chairman of George Little Management, LLC, a large producer of trade shows for consumer goods in the United States. Little&#8217;s grandfather founded the company in 1924, and Little joined the firm in 1968 after serving four years in the U.S. Navy. Little earned a bachelor&#8217;s degree from Princeton University in 1963.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>Little also is chairman of The Lakeville Journal Company, LLC, which publishes weekly newspapers in Lakeville and Winsted, Conn., and Millerton, N.Y. Little and his wife, Helen Yuet-yee Chiu Little, are members of the New York Bates College Council.<\/p>\n<p>The Bates College Board of Trustees includes the board of fellows, whose members serve lifetime terms, and the board of overseers, whose members serve five-year terms.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>William E.
