The public is invited to attend free of charge.<\/p>\n<p><!--more-->Under the direction of Mark Manduca, a member of the Bates applied music faculty, the group features the performances of six graduating Bates seniors, including pianist Ethan Rowe of South Hero, Vt.; tenor saxophonist Thaddeus Carlson of Middlebury, Vt.; bassist Nils van Otterloo of Marblehead, Mass.; alto saxophonist Charlotte Swol of Blandford, Mass.; trombonist Steve Toomey of Bolton, Conn.; and trumpeters Meredith Haviland of Beverly, Mass., and Alan Brown of Gloucester, Mass.<\/p>\n<p>The concert includes arrangements and compositions of both local and national artists, including Craig Skeffington, instrumental music director at South Portland High School; Terry White, band director at Bonny Eagle High School in Buxton; and South Portland native Chris Marsh.
