Muskie Archives. Russell&#8217;s talk is part of the Religion, Science and Public Policy Lecture Series at Bates. The public is invited to attend free of charge.<\/p>\n<p><!--more-->Trained as a scientist and theologian with a doctorate in physics from the University of California, Santa Cruz, and a master&#8217;s from the Pacific School of Religion, Russell is an ordained minister of the United Church of Christ.
