The free concerts, open to the public, will be held from 12:30 to 1 p.m. at the college&#8217;s Olin Arts Center Concert Hall, 75 Russell St.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p><strong>April 1<\/strong>: Alicia Weisser, a Bates first-year student from South Windsor, Conn., will perform a program of music for cello.<\/p>\n<p><strong>April 6<\/strong>: Soprano Christina Astrachan and pianist Frank Glazer, artist- in-residence at Bates, will perform songs of Richard Strauss and Hugo Wolf.<\/p>\n<p><strong>April 8<\/strong>: Bates cello instructor Kathleen Foster and students from the Merriconeag School in Brunswick will perform.<\/p>\n<p><strong>April 20<\/strong>: No concert is scheduled as the college is in recess.<\/p>\n<p><strong>April 27<\/strong>: Mike Richard, a Bates junior from Hooksett, N.H., will perform a program of music for guitar.<\/p>\n<p>Additional information about the Bates Noonday Concert Series is available by calling the Olin Arts Center at 207-786-6135.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Bates College Noonday Concert series continues its spring season with a selection of programs throughout April.
