Huebner performed at this year’s festival as a member of the Second Battalion of the King’s Rangers, formed in May 1779 to fight the Colonial rebellion. A classical and medieval studies major at Bates, Huebner says he’s intrigued by the Loyalist perspective. “The whole argument of the Loyalists, that if there was an insurrection against the government, would you side with the insurgents or side with the military and the police force, was something I really found fascinating.” View story from the Exeter News-Letter, July 16, 2010.

An Exeter News-Letter story traces sophomore Eli Huebner’s fascination with Revolutionary War…

[11009
11051,2330,10759
post-31447","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","hentry","category-the-college","tag-bates-in-the-news","tag-class-of-2013","tag-classical-and-medieval-studies
["GET
