{"id":35925,"date":"2010-11-02T10:23:20","date_gmt":"2010-11-02T14:23:20","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/home.bates.edu\/?p=35925"},"modified":"2016-02-09T13:55:45","modified_gmt":"2016-02-09T18:55:45","slug":"time-lapse-field-turf-garcelon","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.bates.edu\/news\/2010\/11\/02\/time-lapse-field-turf-garcelon\/","title":{"rendered":"Video: Time-lapse of Garcelon Field renovations"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>If you think a Maine summer goes by quickly, take a look at this time-lapse video showing the installation of a new FieldTurf surface, grandstand, press box and lights at Garcelon Field.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Rebuilding Garcelon Field in 1 Minute\" src=\"https:\/\/player.vimeo.com\/video\/15952423?dnt=1&amp;app_id=122963\" width=\"500\" height=\"281\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"autoplay; fullscreen; picture-in-picture; clipboard-write\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>The 1-minute, 9-second video begins with the dismantling of the old grandstand and concludes with the<strong><a href=\"http:\/\/home.bates.edu\/views\/2010\/10\/11\/garcelon-dedication-ceremon\/\"> field&#8217;s dedication<\/a><\/strong> on Oct. 9 during the football team&#8217;s Parents &amp; Family Weekend home opener vs. Williams.<\/p>\n<p>The video&#8217;s still images were taken by a digital SLR camera mounted on a tripod in a second-story storage room in New Commons. This iMac display indicates that nearly 2900 images have been taken since the last re-boot.
