Hello again from Bates!<\/strong>\u00a0 This edition of the April public events listing includes a corrected date for the NESCAC Men’s and Women’s Outdoor Track Championships — April 28, not 29.<\/strong><\/p>\n

In addition, former Maine House Speaker Glenn Cummings speaks about Maine’s new charter school legislation in a newly announced April 3 event; and the concerts by the Steel Pan Orchestra and by computer-music students have been moved to April 2 and 5, respectively. Finally, we’ve highlighted the fact that children 14 and younger will be admitted to the April 1 dance concert for free.<\/p>\n

Except as noted, these events are open to the public at no charge. (Where there is an admission fee, the cost for the general public appears first, followed by the cost for students and seniors.)\"\"<\/p>\n
