{"id":54207,"date":"2012-04-16T13:00:50","date_gmt":"2012-04-16T17:00:50","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.bates.edu\/news\/?p=54207"},"modified":"2017-07-11T12:07:29","modified_gmt":"2017-07-11T16:07:29","slug":"student-storytellers-use-video","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.bates.edu\/news\/2012\/04\/16\/student-storytellers-use-video\/","title":{"rendered":"Student storytellers use video to portray Bates"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>For the last several months, a cadre of students including Josh Ajamu &#8217;13 of\u00a0Breinigsville, Pa., and Matt Baker-White &#8217;13 of\u00a0Williamstown, Mass., have created video narratives about Bates.<\/p>\n<p>With the support of the college&#8217;s Digital Media Studios and the Bates Communications Office, the threesome pitched stories, interviewed participants, recorded sound, and shot candid clips.<\/p>\n<p>Materials in hand, these &#8220;backpack journalists&#8221; edited their digital assets into final pieces that covered a range of stories, including the campus Emergency Medical Services, a local college aspirations program and President-elect Clayton Spencer&#8217;s first full day visiting campus.<\/p>\n<p>See the Bates community through their eyes.
