He completed a bachelor&#8217;s degree in Near Eastern studies at Cornell University, and both a master&#8217;s in Middle Eastern studies and a doctorate in history and Middle Eastern studies at New York University.<\/p>\n<p>He will teach Religious Studies 264, Introduction to Islamic Traditions, and a new introductory level course in Islamic studies.
