New<\/strong> since the March at Bates<\/em> calendar went to press is a film screening — filmmaker Gilbert Ndahayo will show his new piece about the 1994 Rwandan genocide on March 4 — and three concerts: popular folksinger Jonathan Edwards on March 14, the Wayne Delano Quartet in a jazzy BatesDowntown show the following night, and the Larchmere String Quartet on March 31. In addition, the F.A.B. Winter Dance Showcase<\/em> originally planned for February now takes place March 2.<\/p>\n

Informed by his reflections on the modern world and knowledge of seafaring and shipbuilding, Neuman\u2019s intricate compositions recall the fantastical paintings of Hieronymus Bosch.<\/p>\n

Max Klinger: The Intermezzi Portfolio<\/strong><\/em><\/a>: Klinger\u2019s 1881 Intermezzi, Opus IV, is composed of etchings and aquatints that explore desire, fantasy and death. Organized with assistance from Museum of Art intern Douglas P. Welsh \u201914.<\/p>\n
