Finals week Instagram photos suggest that Bates students approach this end-of-semester trial as they always have: with snacks, naps and embracing the fact that, yes, misery loves company.<\/p>\n

The Communications Office put out the call to students for finals-week Instagram photos a week ago, and the entry deadline was Wednesday night with more than 150 photos given the hashtag #batesfinals.<\/p>\n

Readers can vote for the photo they like best, and the winner will be announced on Dec. 20. Prizes include a $50 gift certificate to the Bates College Store.<\/p>\n

(If you’re wondering what’s with all the puppy photos, breeders bring the canine tykes to campus during finals as a stress-buster for students and to socialize the pups, one or more of which will likely become therapy dogs.)<\/p>\n
